Frequently Asked Questions

What does one hour of one-on-one tutoring cost?

Each hour of tutoring is priced at $249, the same price as the whole WritingKey program.

How will my session be different from the group coaching sessions included in the WritingKey purchase?

The group coaching sessions included in WritingKey are weekly, one hour Zoom sessions that can be attended by anyone enrolled in the WritingKey course. Andrew provides large group training, answers common questions, and also opens it up a Q&A time where you can submit your question. While this is valuable, it is less focused than a one-on-one tutoring session. During a one-on-one session, your child will have Andrew's full attention and all instruction will be tailored to your child's specific needs.

How do I schedule my appointment?

Fill out the intake form above, at which time you'll be directed to the purchase page. Upon purchasing coaching, you'll receive further instructions on how to book a time for your appointment.

Can I purchase coaching more than once?

Absolutely! If you find yourself in need of coaching more than once, simply purchase the coaching again.

Hi! I'm Andrew Gipson.

I'm a father and the founder of WritingKey. I have both a bachelor's and an M.A. in Developmental Psychology, and I've spent the last 17 years managing a Bay Area tutoring company and working one-on-one with students.

Over my two decades of teaching, I discovered that most young people encounter the same few stumbling-blocks with writing. Over time, I developed and honed several writing techniques that seemed to work every time, regardless of age or starting ability-level.

I founded WritingKey so that I could share these techniques with young people across the country. Writing is the key that opens the door to opportunity, and I am determined to help students from every background open those doors.
